Welcome to OpenRP.SBS, Framework docs!
Here is where can get how toos, and a usage guide in using the framework, which is designed to pull from a OpenSIM repo downloading the OpenSIM source, compiling it, and helping with setting up a virtual world of your own to roleplay with others or just your friends! With OpenSIM you generate a virtual to connect to. No not like minecraft but more like Second Life. Which OpenSIM is based on. Unlike Second Life, OpenSIM allows you to run your own grid within your own control. SBS Framework Aka SimBySim, is the name given to the Framework to interface with opensim with. Designed for a fresh install of Debian Stable [Linux]. Created to perform basic task performed removing allot of the commands required by the user. Yes, there are still commands here much of the overhead is taken care of by the script. It is setup to help manage OpenSIM offering setup tools, backup/import tools, and more. In the begining it maybe still very basic but plans to expand down the line in the future. |

SimBySim (by OpenRP.SBS), came about as a process of making up my mind of what to do. Host a roleplay grid myself or just make it easier for others.
I decided to look into making a bash toolkit to help with setting up OpenSIM and manage it. It will take care of prepping the system,
downloading the source, and compiling it. It will also be able to check back if their are updates to the repo and setup a update for you!
OpenSIM, by OpenSimulator is a virtual world simulator. A reverse engineering of Second Life's grid server software. Allowing a user to host their own grid for themselves or friends, or even visit from their friend's OpenSIM or vice versa. Depending on the server this is ran on can be a massive worlds of multi regions and local users if some rather not deal with hosting one. |
